Chorus
Lord I really thank You.
That I witness this day.
I will always praise You.
I will always lift you high.
Verse 1
O-o-oh yes!
It is indeed a time of favour and I’m grateful I’ve received mine.
I’ve stood a chance of favour staying with God and I’ve escaped all evils.
Success doesn’t come easy. If profits do not come, one should not suffer any loss.
The mighty flood would not hesitate to pull down one’s mansion but the owner must not give in to that.
When the going was getting tough, I was strong and got it going.
Devil tried hard to get me weary and pushed me harder to lose my focus. he waged war in different ways like disappointment and promise-and-fail.
I was beaten, battered; but now I dance and rejoice that I didn’t suffer in vain.
I actually thought of accepting defeat may be I had decisively made a wrong choice.
I stumbled, failed many times but I was dogged and brave to bounce back.
Emi ne jo e e ooo (I was the same piteous person of those days).
Emi ne jo e e ooo (I was the same wretched person of those days).
Emi ne jo e e ooo (I was the same miserable person of those days).
E de s’emi ne jo e e s’eun ye (See me now, I’m doing great)!
Lord I thank You (Oluwa mo dupe).
I give You all the praise (Mo fi gbogbo iyin fun O).
If I have a thousand tongues It won’t be enough to worship Your name
(Ti mo ba ti’le l’egberun ahon, ko to lati yin oruko Re).
There was a time I used to worry oooh (Igba kan wa ti mo nberu).
What the future holds for me (Nipa oun ti ojo ola mi yio je).
You silenced my fear and gave me assurance that all would be well
(E pa eru lenu mo, E fi mi lokanbale wipe ohun gbogbo yio dara).
Chorus
Lord I really thank You.
That I witness this day.
I will always praise You.
I will always lift you high.
Verse 2
Not that I have actually arrived.
I’m still pressing forward to get it.
Not that I haven’t got anything at all. Things are now better than what they used to be.
You know I used to worry oooh (Igba kan wa ti mo nberu).
What the future holds for me (Ni pa oun ti ojo ola mi yio je).
You silenced my fear and gave me assurance that all would be well
(E pa eru lenu mo, E fi mi lokanbale wipe ohun gbogbo yio dara).
The lack has now become abundance.
Everything is now double.
Devil would have really mocked and made fun of me.
That my permutation was a complete failure.
You favoured me like a lotto winner and opened the door to my joy.
E mi ne jo e e ooo (I was the same piteous person of those days).
E mi ne jo e e ooo (I was the same wretched person of those days).
E mi ne jo e e ooo (I was the same miserable person of those days).
E de s’emi ne jo e e s’eun ye (See me now, I’m doing great)!
